Hello my dears :),
This is my first post on our Isilex blog and I would like to dedicate this one to a Journey that I am still in the very beginning of. Namely, I had thought about keeping a nature diary. In case you're thinking "And what's that supposed to be now?": here's an explanation (disclaimer: I'm pretty bad at explaining things, but I hope you understand anyway. Have also already made a post on my Instagram, click here.):
A nature journal is a way to combine going out into nature and journaling. That is, you grab a blank notebook of your choice and pens and go to your favorite place or any place in nature and sit there. The task then is to dedicate yourself to the place you have chosen to go to. The cell phone can stay in your pocket or you leave it at home for a while, because during this time the focus is only on you and nature. Now the notebook and the pens come into play. You open the book and first describe your emotional state and what you feel in the place where you are. Likewise, you can then take an object or animal, which you then draw. So you take time for yourself and come back to yourself and the connection to nature is strengthened again. You learn again to devote yourself to other things and not only in social media or to hang on his smartphone in general. In addition, you have a certain balance to the stressful workday.

So I got myself a notebook, which I want to use as my journal. Started I have actually not yet, but I use this post to get an incentive to start ;). I also want to take you along on my journey and also show you pictures of my drawings. I am not the best in painting, but you do not have to be. The book should be just for yourself, like other diaries. My motivation behind it is also that I have a balance to university and work and of course spend more time in the fresh air. Today's time is so fast-paced and you do not really get to devote again to yourself and nature.
I also have the idea to expand my drawings a bit by taking leaves or flowers from nature and paste them into my book. I find a nice idea to decorate the book still something.
So see my first post on this blog as the beginning of a series I'm going to call "nature journaling journey" (or something like that). Under this I will summarize all posts that are about my nature journal.
I hope you are with me on my journey 🙂
Your Isi 🙂
